First of all sorry for another game crash fix post. Just stated playing Far Cry II, after about 1 hour then game suddenly crashes without any errors and exits to the desktop. Searched around for some fix for this issue but all I found was threads about overclocking systems. So this fix is for all you gamers trying to find a solution.
How to Fix Far Cry 2 Crash
First off this is probably being caused by a problem with your graphic card. Some people switch from DX 10 to DX 9 while playind but this doesnt seem to help post players. First off you need to know what graphic card you have in your computer. The links for both Nvidia and ATi cards are given below.
Users with AMD Raedeon cards should download and install the Catalyst 8.11 hotfix for Far Cry II.
User with Nvidia 8800 and above can download these drivers.
This should fix the random crashes, updating FarCry had no effect.
