Gmail.com – Increases storage space

oneyearI was just logging into gmail and read the following :-

“On the eve of Gmail’s one-year birthday, our engineers were toiling away furiously. Notes scribbled all over the walls. Complex calculations on napkins and empty pizza boxes. Millions of M&Ms.

The result?… starting today, we’re beginning the roll-out of our new and top secret Infinity+1 storage plan.”

As per sources, standard Gmail users will get a rough increase of about 1GB space plus the normal ticker that increases your space. Recently I had also read that Google was increasing the speed of the ticker but I haven’t tested the same. Premier users will see their storage increase from 10GB to 25GB, without any additional fees. The attachment limit has been doubled to 20MB for all users.

The real questions is how much space do we really need ?? :-?
