HTC Touch Free Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade

I have been running a custome ROM of windows mobile 6 on my HTC touch for quite some time now. Now HTC is offering a free upgrade to Windows Mobile 6 from the standard WM 5. This offer is valid only till October 31. So grab it while it lasts.

Incase you missed out on the official upgrade, you can use the Custom ROM.

How to upgrade to a custom ROM of windows mobile 6.1

Download [ROM][WWE]V4.0 Blue Touch ROM CE OS 5.2.1921(45MB)
Follow the instruction included in the package.

This ROM was posted on the XDA forums. I am not the one who made it. Please visit the Xda-forums for any issue with your HTC Touch, you can always find help there. Also note that installing custom ROM’s is risky. Use at your own discretion. (I had no problem upgrading myself)

hello, i have just updated my HTC Touch with the ROM update provided on this page, its really good but one problem i am facing right now is that my phone does not go into standbye mode for power saving its backlight dims but the screen is still “on” it does not go to black like with earlier orignal ROM it used to go black and when ever i required it with power button push it would turned on working but now with manual soft push to the power button restarts the phone.
please help if you have solution to this problem

S P Singh Ji, phaji, search for a software called “TCPMP”.. its a player, download it and install it on your HTC Touch.. you wil be able to play any sort of movies, videos..

I dont know why you would have Hindi with the windows mobile 6 upgrade ! So, cant help you with that.
For video files, buy coreplayer.

First of all which HTC phone do you have, in any case most of them run Windows Mobile.

Go to Settings > Regional settings (icon of a globe)> Change to English

Its simple hope it helped.
